AAPI Civic Engagement Fund

Grants

2024 (3 years)
$900,000

The AAPI Civic Engagement Fund (the Fund) fosters civic engagement within the diverse and growing Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) communities across the country. It was established in 2013 by a group of private foundations in response to the under-investment and disenfranchisement of AAPI communities. Today, it hosts one of the largest networks of local and state-based AAPI organizations in the country, and it is one of the first of its kind to scale grassroots efforts and construct lasting and durable movement infrastructure for AAPI communities. The Fund will use this general support grant to foster a culture of civic participation in AAPI communities through grantmaking, building movement capacity, and conducting research. A primary goal of the Fund is to support its network to create and amplify more accurate, authentic, and nuanced narratives about the diversity of AAPI communities and their contributions to American society.
