The Schools Project documents the 2013 closing of 47 Chicago public elementary schools and how these closings are a microcosm of the fight for public education in America. The project is a collaboration between Media Process Educational Films, Siskel/Jacobs Productions, Kartemquin Films, the Kindling Group, and Free Spirit Media, with additional involvement of the ChicagoSun-Times, WTTW, and freelancers Rachel Dickson and Melissa Sterne.
