Faith, Hope, and Capital is the story of activists who build wealth instruggling communities using credit rather than charity. Despite a booming economy, millions of Americans are still considered "unbankable" by conventional lending institutions. Obtaining a loan to own a home or start a business continues to be out of reach for this substantial group of people. Through stories of borrowers and lenders, this film explores a new strategy, developed by Community Development Financial Institutions (CDFIs), that uses credit rather than charity as an effective tool to build wealth in struggling communities.
