Michael is responsible for MacArthur's strategic efforts to design, implement and manage innovative human resources practices and initiatives that attract, develop, support and retain an engaged, high-performing, diverse staff in a culture of continuous learning and development.
He joined the Foundation in late 2015, bringing 20 years of broad human resources expertise to the newly-created role that includes having designed and built a human resources department from the ground up for a complex international firm; a history of successfully linking innovative and agile people practices to business objectives; a clear vision for strategies relating to engagement, communication, culture, and best-in-class status; a strong understanding of a global workforce; extensive experience in performance management, learning and development, compensation, benefits, recruitment and employee relations; and the ability to combine high-level strategy and leadership with hands-on implementation.
Most recently, Michael was Head of Human Resources for the global financial services firm ABN AMRO Clearing LLC, where he established and led the Human Resources function for the firm’s US offices. Formerly, he served as Vice President, Human Resources, for Fortis Clearing Americas, LLC, and Human Resources Business Partner at Calyon Financial, Inc. Prior to that, he held Specialist and Generalist roles in the Financial Services, Marketing and Pharmaceutical sectors.
He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Wheaton College.
