As part of the New Work Exploration team, Melanie is responsible for overseeing administrative tasks, managing budgets, coordinating events, and providing critical executive support to the Managing Director.
Prior to joining the Foundation, Melanie served two years as Philanthropy Fellow in collaboration with the Council of Michigan Foundations and Ralph C. Wilson, Jr. Foundation where she contributed to robust grantmaking initiatives in a wide range of interest areas throughout the Metro Detroit and Greater Buffalo regions. Melanie also served three years with the Community Foundation for Southeast Michigan supporting donor engagement and grantmaking services with donor advised funds.
Melanie holds a Master of Public Administration, as well as a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Graduate Certificate in Nonprofit Management all from Wayne State University in Detroit.
She is an active member of Emerging Practitioners in Philanthropy (EPIP).
