In this role, Liliana (she/ella) collaborates with the Director of Local News to design, implement, and adapt the Local News grant portfolio. This includes maintaining relationships with peer funders, grantee partners, and others in the field.
Liliana started her career as a community organizer with Community Organizing & Family Issues in Chicago. She went on to work at public policy and advocacy organizations in Illinois including Illinois Action for Children, Latino Policy Forum, and Start Early. Most recently, she worked for the Raising Child Care Fund, a national pooled fund of the Early Childhood Funders Collaborative, and the Irving Harris Foundation.
Liliana holds a bachelor’s degree from Grinnell College and a Master of Social Work degree from the University of Chicago.
Liliana serves on the board of the Chicago Community Arts Studio. She is also a member of Chicago Latines in Philanthropy (CLIP).
