As part of the Communications team, James oversees digital communications efforts for the Foundation, including website, email, social media, and analytics. He leads strategic direction on content development and publication, serves as brand ambassador to ensure visual assets meet established guidelines, and leads website redesign projects for the Foundation's digital assets.
He joined the Foundation in 2011 after three years as Assistant Director of Online Communications for Columbia College Chicago, where he managed an interdepartmental strategy for online communications. Previously, he was Associate Director of Alumni Relations at Columbia, managing development of the college's online community. He has also worked as a design consultant and gallery manager.
James received a Bachelor of Arts in art education and fine art from Bethany College (KS), and a Master of Arts in interdisciplinary art from Columbia College Chicago.
He serves on the Board of the Blue Island Arts Alliance.
