Our Grantmaking in Nigeria

A thriving Nigeria—with its rich natural resources, young and growing population, and continental leadership—is one of the most important goals for the world today. The Foundation has worked in Nigeria for nearly 30 years in a variety of fields, including population and reproductive health, secondary and higher education, criminal justice, and human rights. These programs are in the process of ending and all grantmaking has been completed. The Foundation no longer accepts proposals for these areas of work.

Our On Nigeria Big Bet focuses on reducing corruption by supporting Nigerian-led efforts to promote an atmosphere of accountability, transparency, and good governance in the country.
